This gradual, but highly diversified, dissemination of Greek ‘theory’ may be observed in Hellenistic Judaism (e.g. Philo) and among the earliest Christians (e.g. Paul). And this is where the Graeco-Roman contextualization of the New Testament proves particularly helpful for making modern scholars understand the New Testament texts.
